In order to provide the best possible experience and memories for runners coming to Tokyo from overseas and within Japan, we are recruiting non-Japanese nationals (who can speak English) residing in Japan or overseas to volunteer at the
Tokyo Marathon 2026. We have prepared a program so that even those not familiar with Japanese can participate in the Tokyo Marathon 2026 as volunteers with confidence. Tokyo Marathon official website |

【Aid Stations Activities】 To will distribute water, sports drinks, snacks, and sponges to runners and keep the area around the water stations clean and safe. ●Location of Aid Stations Akihabara/Muromachi Block, Nihombashi/Suitengu Block, Kuramae/Asakusa Block, Hibiya/Marunouchi Block *The VOLUNTAINER Office will determine the allocation of Aid Stations. ●Activity time 8:10 AM to 4:40 PM (scheduled) *Schedules for each Aid Station vary depending on the activities to be done at each location. *For details, please refer to the manual that will be provided before activities. |

We plan to recruit about 30 people. *The recruitment will be on first-come first-served basis. *The number of people is subject to change. |

●Volunteer wear, caps, etc. *Volunteer wear will be distributed in one size fits all, with one item for each role. *Volunteers will be responsible for their own transportation, meals, drinks, etc. *Provision of the volunteer Kit is subject to change without notice. *Resale of provided items is prohibited. |

| Entry conditions |
●Foreign nationals residing in Japan or overseas (daily conversation in English) ●People who have difficulty communicating in Japanese but can communicate in English ●Anyone aged 18 or over ●You must be able to volunteer on the date, time, location, and content specified by the VOLUNTAINER Office. ●You must be able to come to the volunteer reception desk to undergo identity verification and receive the volunteer kit. In addition, participation in the race day information session is mandatory. | Event Cancelation Guideline |
1) The event is subject to cancellation if a cancellation request is received from respective authorities and agencies. 2) The event is subject to cancellation due to natural disaster or in a situation in which delivering a safe event is difficult. |
| Precautions |
Please agree to the following terms and conditions before entering. ●The information contained in these application guidelines is current as of Friday, December 19, 2025, and is subject to change. ●The time, location, and content of the activity will be determined by the VOLUNTAINER Office. Details will be provided when you arrive at the volunteer registration desk. ●Accommodation expenses will not be provided. If necessary, please make your own arrangements. ●You will need to "identity verification" and "receive the volunteer kit" at the volunteer reception. Please bring the identification documents specified by the organizer. ●About the information session Please be sure to attend the information session that will be held after the volunteer registration. Details of the activities will be explained and questions will be accepted. Late arrivals and early departures are not permitted. ●Volunteers are requested to arrive on time for your assignment, and plan to assist enough for it not to leave early. ●Injury insurance will be provided by the organizer. There is no personal expense involved. Please note that this will not apply if the organizer's instructions are not followed or are deemed inappropriate. ●During activities, please follow the instructions of your team leader or relevant staff when taking breaks, removing your uniform, etc., so as not to cause inconvenience to others. ●Smoking, personal use of mobile phones, and photography are prohibited during volunteer activities. ●You may not wear or possess any items other than those provided by the organizers (such as name tags, armbands,cheering goods, etc.). ●Resale, auction, or campaign use of items provided by the organizer is not permitted. We do not prepare documents related to visa issuance. |
